RIP to Puerto Rican Music Producer Flow La Movie

Music producer Flow La Movie, Jose Angel Hernandez, a renowned music producer, along with 8 other individuals were tragically killed in a private plane crash last week. The family was in Dominican Republic and they traveled to Florida when his plane began to fail within minutes of taking off. Flow La Movie, as well as his wife and child, died in the plane crash.

In a statement posted on Twitter, Helidosa Aviation Group said that seven passengers and two crew members were killed in the crash at the Las Americas Airport in the capital Santo Domingo.


According to Flightradar 24, the private jet was en route to Florida after it took off from the La Isabela International Airport. Flow La Movie and his family’s tragic death has sparked tributes, posts and condolences throughout all social media channels. J Balvin, Don Omar, Natti Natasha and Pina paid tribute to the producer on Instagram.



Flow La Movie is known for a number of hits including "Te Boté" featuring Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam and Ozuna. The song topped the Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs for 14 weeks following its 2018 release. He also produced Nio Garcia’s “AM” and the viral hit “La Jeepeta.” As an artist, he charted with “Travesuras”; the song peaked at No. 9 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and it also hit No. 1 on Latin Airplay, Latin Rhythm Airplay and Tropical Airplay.


He began his music career in 2011 as a music producer and later launched his own indie record label and management agency signing artists such as Nio Garcia, Casper Magico and Xound. We send our deepest condolences to his family and our Latinx community during this tragic loss.
